Donuts on Hilton Head Island

Donuts have a special place in the hearts of many, transcending mere dessert status to a beloved cultural icon. They are so well loved, infact, that these sugary sweets have become culturally acceptable as breakfast.  You know what they say: when on vacation, be on vacation!  Indulge in delicious, artful donuts on Hilton Head Island and Bluffton with these iconic places to try.

Duck Donuts

890 William Hilton Parkway (Fresh Market Shops)

Known for its made-to-order donuts, this establishment has carved out a special niche on Hilton Head Island with their unique concept.  Unlike traditional bakeries where donuts are pre-made and displayed, Duck Donuts offers a fresh, customizable experience.

Customers can choose from a variety of bases, including classic, chocolate, and maple, and then select their favorite toppings and drizzles. This interactive experience allows each guest to create a personalized donut that perfectly suits their taste. They have an extensive menu of flavors and combinations. From classic options like vanilla icing with sprinkles to more adventurous choices such as bacon maple and peanut butter drizzle, there’s something to please every palate. Seasonal and specialty flavors are also regularly introduced, ensuring that there’s always something new to try.

Duck Donuts fosters a welcoming and family-friendly environment, making it a popular destination for families and groups. Children and adults alike love watching their donuts being made fresh to order. The process is not only delicious but also entertaining, creating a memorable experience for all ages.

To elevate the donut experience, Duck Donuts also offers a selection of coffee, ice cream, and other beverages that pair perfectly with their donuts. Enjoying a warm, freshly made donut alongside a cup of locally brewed coffee creates a delightful morning or afternoon treat. With this made-to-order concept and endless flavor combinations, Duck Donuts has earned its place as a must-visit destination for anyone looking to indulge in a sweet treat!

Alljoy Donut Co.

(Please note, this is in Bluffton, just across the bridge Downtown Bluffton)

22 Thomas Heyward St, Bluffton, SC

This truly charming Southern gem of an establishment, Alljoy Donut Co. is only open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and typically has a line out the door. They are that good! Troy and Kristie Derda, parents, entrepreneurs, and adventurers who swapped the icy Midwest winters for a temperate life in the Lowcountry, took over Alljoy Donuts with a mission to treat every customer like family.

Some of our favorites are Oreo, Lemon Meringue & Key Lime Pie, Lemon Poppyseed, Maple Bacon, and Strawberry Jam.  Be sure to check out social media for their weekly specials and their seasonal releases. They are also working on partnerships and special donuts with local businesses. How fun!
